Phi Series
This
series is an expression of mixed media
celebrating the mathematical proportion of the
golden ratio and its unique relationship to the
Fibonacci sequence.
Each canvas is
approximately constructed at the golden ratio,
which is defined as Phi
(φ=1.618033988749895...). Then the Fibonacci
sequence is graphed onto the canvas using the
Fibonacci spiral. The spiral and the golden
ratio are perceived as an aesthetically pleasing
proportion and appear in the foundation of many
aspects of art, beauty, and life. From music to
architecture, plants to humans, sea shells to
galaxies, even the financial markets analyze
this spiral of growth.
